How to retouch a portrait
- Click Retouch a portrait and open the photo. Duplicate the layer (Layer › Duplicate Layer) so you can compare.
- Click blemishes with the Spot Healing Brush (J).
- To smooth skin, duplicate again, apply Filter › Blur › Surface Blur, add a black mask (Layer › Layer Mask › Hide All) and paint white over skin only at 30–50% opacity.
- Use Dodge and Burn at low exposure to brighten eyes and shape the face, then export.
