Make a transparent PNG
Transparent PNGs are what you need for logos, stickers and overlays. Start from a transparent canvas, or open an existing image and hide its background with a mask.

How to make a transparent PNG
- Click New transparent canvas. A 1080×1080 document with a transparent background opens (change the size any time with Image › Canvas Size).
- Add your artwork: drag in images, use the Type tool, or draw shapes. Anything you don't paint stays transparent.
- To use an existing photo, open it and follow remove the background.
- Choose File › Export As, pick PNG, and save. Transparency is kept.
Questions
Why does my PNG have a white background?
The layer underneath was opaque. Hide or delete the Background layer, or start from a transparent canvas, before exporting.
Can JPG be transparent?
No. JPG has no alpha channel; use PNG or WebP.
